Senior Accountant Role

CB Canada is on the lookout for a Senior Accountant to enhance our finance team. This position offers a fantastic chance to contribute significantly to our accounting operations. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Finance Director and the Operations Management team.

  • Manage daily deposits and electronic funds transfers for integration into the accounting system
  • Conduct bank reconciliations and make necessary entries
  • Perform thorough analysis of accounts receivable
  • Evaluate accounts payable processes
  • Oversee asset tracking and monthly depreciation entries
  • Monitor prepaid expenses and execute monthly entries
  • Review accrual entries submitted by the accounts payable team
  • Prepare and analyze sales accrual entries
  • Conduct monthly analysis of plastic collections
  • Review monthly credit card entries prepared by the accounts payable team
  • Manage payroll accrual entries
  • Track loans and manage monthly depreciation entries
  • Prepare monthly tax reports
  • Assist in the month-end closing process and strategic planning
  • Support the preparation of monthly financial statements
  • Engage in budget variance analysis and liaise with Operations Management
  • Assist in presenting monthly financial outcomes to senior management

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of comprehensive accounting experience
  • DEC in accounting or a Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration
  • Proficient in Excel (including V Lookups and Pivot Tables)
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English
