Job Title: MDRD Reprocessing Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MDRD Reprocessing Technician to join our team at Groves Memorial Community Hospital.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for reprocessing medical devices, ensuring they are safe and functional for patient use. This role requires strong knowledge of sterile department procedures, infection control, and decontamination techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reprocess medical devices to ensure they meet quality and safety standards
  • Operate and maintain equipment used in the reprocessing process
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure medical devices are available for patient use
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance reprocessing processes
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of sterile department procedures and infection control practices
  • Successful completion of the Central Service Techniques Course
  • CSA Certification or willingness to obtain
  • Experience in medical device reprocessing, including decontamination and sterilization
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Working Conditions:
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Moving and lifting medical devices
  • Working in a clean and controlled environment
