About the Role

Mosaic Seniors Care Society is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Medical Support: Take residents' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any changes to the healthcare team.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of residents' rooms and common areas.
  • Transportation: Safely transport residents within the facility using a wheelchair or stretcher.
  • Communication: Respond to residents' call signals and determine their needs, providing support and assistance as required.
  • Pre-Surgical Preparation: Assist with preparing residents for surgery by washing, shaving, and sterilizing operative areas.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Criminal Record Check: Required.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, organized, and a team player.
