About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at New Creation Christian Child Care Center. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children to grow and develop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Storytelling and Engagement: Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
  • Supervision and Guidance: Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers, and guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Health and Safety: Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors, and discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings.
Requirements
  • Education: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • Certifications: First Aid Certificate
  • Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Medical exam
  • Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, Team player
  • Experience: Experience an asset
