St Barbara is seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic Apprentice to join our team at our open-pit gold mine in Moose River Gold Mines, NS. As an Industrial Mechanic Apprentice, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our equipment and facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, maintain, and repair equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Participate in maintenance planning to identify and prioritize tasks
Requirements:
- Registered as a Block 4 Apprentice, Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)
- Class 5 driver's license, unrestricted
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods
What We Offer:
- Competitive hourly rate
- Comprehensive healthcare and dental plan, plus RRSP contributions after probation
- 80 hours of vacation time after probation, with additional time off after one year
- Overtime hours available
Work Schedule:
- Full-time hours per week
- 4 days on, 4 days off schedule
- 12-hour shifts, including days and nights
