Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team at Canadian Solar Inc. as a key member of our Accounting and Finance department.
Key Responsibilities- Process and manage accounts payable transactions, including invoices, credit notes, and payment runs.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, including matching of source documents and vendor invoices.
- Prepare and reconcile monthly accounts payable sub-ledger and general ledger control account.
- Communicate with vendors on invoice disputes and outstanding accounts.
- Support other departments with vendor issues, pricing, and accounts payable documentation.
- Analyze exchange variances and maintain accounting filing system and folders.
- Assume responsibility for specific reports as required.
- Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance.
- Work experience with Accounting and Operations preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate with all levels of the executive team.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills.
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
- Advanced Excel skills, effective working skills of MS Word, PowerPoint, and email.
- Attention to detail in all areas of work.
- Excellent time and project management skills.
- Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines.
- High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
