Job Title: Executive Chef

At eatgrk, we are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our menu items, ensuring high-quality standards are met, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory
  • Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to cooking staff
  • Supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers
  • Create new recipes
  • Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food
  • Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
  • Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies
  • Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs
  • Train meat cutters
  • Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat
  • Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work in a team environment and supervise staff
