Job Title: Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team at N S Kular Transport Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a semi-trailer truck to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently. This is a permanent, full-time position with a 35-hour workweek.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and adjust routes to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
  • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner
  • Load and unload goods safely and efficiently
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and condition
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure vehicle is in good working order
  • Communicate with central dispatch and relay information as needed
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
Requirements:
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks)
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Willingness to travel for extended periods and overnight
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Good judgment, organization, reliability, and teamwork skills
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions. The position requires sitting for extended periods and occasional lifting.

Language:

English is the primary language of communication in this role.
