Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at R Uppal Trucking Ltd. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various locations, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy to transport goods and materials
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and storage
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • Perform brake adjustments, emergency roadside repairs, and pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring efficient communication
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo
Requirements:
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Willing to travel cross-border, extended periods, and overnight
  • Attention to detail, team player, and experience an asset
Work Environment:

As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be working on the road, traveling to various locations, and spending extended periods away from home. You will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a safe and secure environment.
