Position Overview:

Reporting to the Mobile Equipment Maintenance Superintendent, the Fleet Operations Supervisor – Afternoon/Evening, will be responsible for:

  1. Overseeing and scheduling fleet maintenance repairs to maximize fleet availability
  2. Enhancing the overall efficiency and productivity of our ready-mix operations through effective preventative and corrective maintenance strategies
  3. Ensuring compliance with Environmental and Health & Safety standards
  4. Maintaining a safe and organized work environment in all maintenance facilities
  5. Verifying that all fleet vehicles are in a safe and roadworthy condition
  6. Coordinating and supervising preventative maintenance, major repairs, and daily operational issues
  7. Monitoring the performance of all garage personnel under supervision
  8. Providing guidance, support, and necessary disciplinary actions for employees
  9. Ensuring proper administration and interpretation of Collective Bargaining Agreements
  10. Reviewing and understanding the collective agreements thoroughly
  11. Fostering positive working conditions and team spirit within Operations, Dispatch, Quality, and Maintenance teams
  12. Communicating daily with central dispatch to ensure fleet equipment availability as needed
Qualifications:

310T Mechanics license

Ability to quickly analyze maintenance issues and make sound decisions using good judgment

Previous supervisory experience in a unionized setting is preferred

Proficiency in computer applications is an asset

Valid driver's license
