About the Role
The Health Care Aide is a vital member of our care team, providing exceptional support and care to residents in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a Health Care Aide, you will be responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living, promoting their independence, and maintaining their dignity.
Key Responsibilities
- Resident-Centered Care: Provide personalized care and support to residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
- Documentation: Accurately document resident care and observations, collaborating with the Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse as needed.
- Safety: Contribute to a safe environment by adhering to safety guidelines and practices, and reporting any concerns or incidents.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to evaluate and change resident care plans as needed.
Requirements
- Grade 10 education and Government of Alberta approved Health Care Aide certificate
- Registered with the Government of Alberta Health Care Aide Directory
- Previous Health Care Aide experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to work effectively in a physically and mentally demanding environment
- Demonstrates ability to understand, speak, read, and write effectively in English
- Excellent observation, communication, and problem-solving skills
