Position Overview

The Bookkeeper at HAPPY MARKET plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounting and finance.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or equivalent non-university program lasting 1 to 2 years.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years in a similar role.
Key Responsibilities
  • Calculate and prepare payroll cheques.
  • Assess fixed assets and manage depreciation.
  • Maintain and balance various accounts using both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  • Oversee general ledgers and prepare financial statements.
  • Post journal entries accurately.
  • Generate statistical, financial, and accounting reports as required.
  • Prepare tax returns in compliance with regulations.
  • Compile trial balances of books.
  • Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy.
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
