Position Overview

This role is part of our EnerSys Energy Systems division, which caters to various markets including telecommunications, cable broadband, industrial applications, renewable energy, and data centers. Our extensive product range merges our expertise in stored energy with power systems, enclosures, and renewable energy solutions, enabling us to provide exceptional services for applications such as 5G, broadband, IoT, data centers, and solar energy. Our advanced technologies encompass Lithium batteries, Fault Managed Power Systems, and Extended Run Time battery backup systems, all designed to enhance the reliability and resilience of broadband infrastructures.

Compensation Range: $52,100 to $65,000, subject to variation based on experience, education, skills, and location.

Key Responsibilities

As a Field Service Technician II, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing technical and application support for EnerSys products and services within your designated area, ensuring profitability and alignment with business objectives.
  • Adhering to all company policies and procedures, including safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Operating material handling equipment in compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Managing company assets, including service vehicles, tools, and inventory.
  • Maintaining effective communication with the Field Supervisor and submitting required reports.
  • Coordinating shipping and receiving activities, along with conducting material audits to identify discrepancies.
  • Assisting in the installation and commissioning of DC Power plants, inverters, and battery systems.
  • Performing preventative maintenance routines and data analysis to identify areas for client system improvements.
  • Installing infrastructure components such as data cabinets and cable trays.
  • Ensuring the calibration of tools is maintained.
  • Engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Traveling as necessary to conduct installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
  • Contributing to revenue and margin goals through high-quality work delivered within project timelines and budgets.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Willingness to travel overnight for field operations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Teams.
  • Strong mechanical skills and the ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and compose technical documents and reports.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
  • Capability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Thorough understanding of safety policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and risk mitigation.
  • Experience using test equipment and interpreting data.
  • Ability to read electrical and construction schematics.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field.
