Job Title: Automotive Service Technician

Midas Auto Service is seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team. As an Automotive Service Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, adjusting, repairing, or replacing parts and components of commercial transport truck systems, and performing scheduled maintenance service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
  • Estimate parts and labor cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed
  • Coach and instruct apprentices
  • Provide customer service
Requirements:
  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience
  • Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification
  • Tire, wheel, and rim mechanic certification
  • Automotive Service Technician (Fuel and Electrical Systems) Trade Certification
  • Automotive Service Technician (Transmission) Trade Certification
  • Motor Vehicle Repairer (Service Station Mechanic) Trade Certification
  • Truck and Transport Mechanic Red Seal Endorsement
  • Motor Vehicle Inspector Certificate
  • Driver's Licence (Class 2 or B or C)
  • Automotive Service Technician Red Seal Certificate
