Assistant Librarian

Trinity Western University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Librarian to join our team. As a key member of our library staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the university's mission and values.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert reference and research services to students, faculty, and staff, with a focus on copyright and education-related topics.
- Develop and implement information literacy programs and services to support the university's curriculum and research needs.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to provide copyright guidance and support for teaching and research purposes.
- Manage the Curriculum Resource Centre, including overseeing collections, budgets, and staff.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in library and information services, and apply this knowledge to improve our services and collections.
- Master's degree in Library and Information Science (or equivalent) from an ALA-accredited program.
- 2-3 years of experience in an academic library, preferably in an education library or curriculum resource centre.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
- Knowledge of copyright law and best practices, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a library setting.
