Trinity Western University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Librarian to join our team. As a key member of our library staff, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance on copyright and education-related matters, as well as overseeing the Curriculum Resource Centre.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide reference and information services to students, faculty, and staff on copyright and education-related topics.
- Develop and implement information literacy programs and workshops for students and faculty.
- Manage the Curriculum Resource Centre, including selecting, acquiring, and organizing materials, as well as providing instruction and support to users.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop and implement education-related initiatives and programs.
- Stay up-to-date with copyright laws and regulations, and provide guidance and support to the university community on copyright-related matters.
- Master's degree in Library and Information Science (or equivalent) from an ALA-accredited program.
- 2-3 years of experience in an academic library, preferably in an education library or curriculum resource centre.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of copyright laws and regulations, as well as information literacy principles and practices.
