Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Leopold's Tavern Beltline. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our kitchen and front-of-house areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
    • Train and develop staff in job duties, health and safety procedures, and customer service skills.
  • Inventory and Supply Chain Management
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, ensuring that stock levels are maintained and that orders are placed in a timely manner.
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory levels.
  • Quality Control and Customer Service
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Administrative and Reporting
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
    • Prepare and submit reports on kitchen operations, including inventory levels and customer feedback.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service or hospitality environment.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and to tight deadlines.
    • Ability to stand for extended periods and to lift heavy objects.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work as part of a team and to take initiative in a dynamic environment.
