Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales and Operations Planner to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and analyzing demand plans, managing supply chain operations, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and present 12-18 month demand plans to ensure accurate forecasting and supply chain optimization.
  • Manage site demand and supply plans, including capacity analysis and inventory management.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop and implement plans to mitigate long-term supply risks.
  • Facilitate monthly Sales and Operations Planning meetings to review demand and supply risks and opportunities.
  • Perform business analysis and develop subsequent year's production plans for annual Cost & Budget Plan.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in SAP and other business planning tools.
  • Coach and mentor team members to enhance job performance and support departmental improvement projects.
Requirements
  • College/Technical School diploma in Materials Management, Supply Chain, or related business field.
  • 5 years of previous manufacturing, planning or scheduling experience using SAP or equivalent business planning tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in S&OP and long-term planning preferred.
  • Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

The role requires light physical effort and fatigue. You will be required to walk, sit, or stand for limited periods and may require occasional equipment operation. You may be exposed to mild physical discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes or odours, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights. Use of Personal Protective equipment may be required and may include any of the following: safety glasses, safety shoes, lab coat, gloves, hair net, beard cover, safety apron, respirator on occasionally.
