Job Title: Sheet Metal Worker

We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join our team at VEP Mechanical Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, fabricating, and repairing sheet metal products in various settings.

Work Environment

Our work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to work at heights. You will be exposed to noisy and dusty conditions, and may be required to work overtime to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities
  • Measure and mark sheet metal according to templates
  • Grind and buff seams, joints, and rough surfaces
  • Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specifications
  • Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers
  • Cut materials using power tools or by hand
  • Fabricate and install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
Requirements
  • Sheet Metal Worker Trade Certification
  • Sheet Metal Worker Red Seal Certificate
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Ability to work at heights and in physically demanding environments
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
