About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious School Bus Driver to join our team at First Transit Canada. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, ensuring their well-being and safety throughout the journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Vehicle Operations: Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in good working condition.
- Student Support: Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus, providing a safe and welcoming environment.
- Route Navigation: Utilize our industry-leading technology to navigate daily routes and ensure timely arrivals.
Requirements
- Age and License: Be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver's license for at least 1 year.
- Communication Skills: Possess good verbal communication skills to effectively interact with students and colleagues.
- Medical and Background Checks: Undergo and pass a Ministry-prescribed medical examination and background checks.
Benefits
- Competitive Wage: Earn a starting wage of $20.50 per hour.
- Sign-on Bonus: Receive a $2000 sign-on bonus for fully licensed drivers and a $1500 sign-on bonus for new drivers.
