We are seeking a skilled and passionate Trauma-Focused Mental Health Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing evidence-based interventions to clients experiencing various mental health challenges.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver trauma-focused therapies, including exposure therapy, to support client progress and improve functioning.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions tailored to the unique needs of each client.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation, ensuring compliance with professional standards.
  • Educate clients and families on mental health conditions and available resources.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in ongoing professional development activities.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Counselling, Social Work, Psychotherapy, or Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Registration in good standing with the relevant professional body (e.g., College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience providing trauma-informed care and facilitating group therapy sessions.
  • Strong understanding of cognitive processing therapy and other evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethical practice and client confidentiality.
