Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide interventions and support to clients with trauma, mood, and anxiety disorders, as well as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide trauma-focused treatment interventions to improve client functioning and progress.
  • Coordinate case management and communication across the multidisciplinary team.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including exposure therapy and group treatment.
  • Manage clients with complex mental health issues, including trauma, mood, and anxiety disorders.
  • Identify treatment goals and issues with clients, coordinating with the broader clinical team as needed.
  • Document client progress and complete reports in a timely manner.
  • Deliver education sessions to clients and families, promoting healthy coping strategies and support.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, driving excellence in care delivery.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Counselling, Social Work, Psychotherapy, or Occupational Therapy.
  • Registration in good standing with a professional body, such as the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario or the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • 3 years of practical experience in mental health and addiction treatment, with a focus on trauma-informed care.
  • Experience with cognitive processing therapy and group therapy is an asset.
  • Knowledge of abstinence-based community resources and supports is a strong asset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team, prioritizing client needs and safety.
