Support Services Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Support Services Supervisor to join our team at Interior Health Authority. As a key member of our support services team, you will be responsible for supervising designated staff, planning menus, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our food services operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate the work of designated staff, providing feedback and guidance to ensure excellent service delivery.
• Collaborate with the Clinical Dietitian to plan menus and develop recipes that meet the nutritional and therapeutic needs of our patients and residents.
• Estimate food requirements, order supplies, and resolve discrepancies with suppliers to ensure efficient and effective operations.
• Visit patients and residents to obtain and exchange diet-related information, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded.
• Monitor expenditures and make recommendations for budget allocations to ensure optimal resource utilization.
• Evaluate meals to ensure that established standards of quality and quantity are maintained, and make recommendations for improvement.
• Coordinate meal preparation, pricing, and other related duties for community-based services such as Meals on Wheels.
• Assist in coordinating and maintaining facility in-house services, including cafeteria operations, pricing, and staffing.
• Perform audits to ensure that established food service and quality assurance standards are met, and report any issues or concerns.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require a diploma from a recognized two-year Food Service/Nutrition Management program, and a minimum of 1 year recent experience in a similar role. You will also need to have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
