Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Scientist/Engineer to join our dynamic team at SLR Consulting (Canada). This role is crucial in supporting our mission to address complex environmental challenges and promote sustainability.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in comprehensive environmental projects, including Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, remediation initiatives, and ongoing environmental monitoring.
  • Lead field operations involving the collection and analysis of soil, groundwater, and surface water samples, as well as managing decommissioning and remediation efforts.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports that communicate findings and recommendations effectively.
  • Mentor junior staff in fieldwork and project management, while benefiting from guidance by senior professionals.
  • Assist project managers in planning, coordinating, and tracking project schedules and budgets.
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical and financial proposals.

Qualifications:
  • A degree or technical diploma in environmental science, engineering, geology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in contaminated site assessments and remediation.
  • Experience with PFAS sampling is advantageous.
  • A strong commitment to fieldwork and the ability to work in various locations, including remote sites.
  • Knowledge of health and safety protocols specific to environmental and industrial settings.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively in small teams.
  • Eligibility for professional status with a recognized organization is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is required for site visits.
