We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Scientist/Engineer to join our dynamic team at SLR Consulting (Canada). This role is crucial in supporting our mission to address complex environmental challenges and promote sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in comprehensive environmental projects, including Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, remediation initiatives, and ongoing environmental monitoring.
- Lead field operations involving the collection and analysis of soil, groundwater, and surface water samples, as well as managing decommissioning and remediation efforts.
- Prepare detailed technical reports that communicate findings and recommendations effectively.
- Mentor junior staff in fieldwork and project management, while benefiting from guidance by senior professionals.
- Assist project managers in planning, coordinating, and tracking project schedules and budgets.
- Contribute to the preparation of technical and financial proposals.
Qualifications:
- A degree or technical diploma in environmental science, engineering, geology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in contaminated site assessments and remediation.
- Experience with PFAS sampling is advantageous.
- A strong commitment to fieldwork and the ability to work in various locations, including remote sites.
- Knowledge of health and safety protocols specific to environmental and industrial settings.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively in small teams.
- Eligibility for professional status with a recognized organization is preferred.
- A valid driver's license is required for site visits.
