Food Service Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Tahini Guelph. As a key member of our culinary operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and portioning of food, estimating ingredient and supply requirements, and ensuring that our food and service meet the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Coordinate Food Preparation: Oversee the activities of food service staff, ensuring that food is prepared and portioned efficiently and effectively.
- Estimate Ingredient and Supply Requirements: Accurately estimate the ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, minimizing waste and excess.
- Hire and Train Food Service Staff: Recruit, hire, and train food service staff to ensure that our team is equipped to deliver exceptional service and quality food.
- Ensure Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that our food and service meet the highest standards.
- Address Customer Complaints: Respond promptly and professionally to customer complaints, resolving issues and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Prepare Food Order Summaries: Prepare detailed summaries of food orders for the chef, ensuring that all orders are accurate and complete.
- Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules for food service staff, ensuring that our team is adequately staffed and prepared to meet customer demand.
As a Food Service Supervisor at Tahini Guelph, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a team of dedicated professionals. You will be required to work effectively in a team, communicate clearly and professionally, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
Requirements- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: Experience in food service or a related field is an asset.
- Personal Suitability: Flexibility, teamwork, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service are essential for this role.
