Job Title: Technical Support and Quality Engineering

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Technical Support and Quality Engineering Specialist to join our Rail and Transit team in Thunder Bay, ON and/or North Bay, ON. The successful candidate will provide technical support and quality engineering representation at the project level, ensuring the delivery of high-quality Rolling Stock Vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical support on Rolling Stock Vehicle refurbishment and manufacturing, representing the client at a project level.
  2. Participate in engineering design package review, production progress and planning, and quality control meetings.
  3. Review and approve production plans, quality inspection plans, and testing plans prepared by the supplier.
  4. Oversee and report project progress by developing project-related presentations, KPIs, and progress reports.
  5. Ensure contract compliance on behalf of the client.
  6. Support Quality Assurance efforts and initiatives by providing quality engineering insight.
  7. Monitor and audit the supplier's Quality Assurance Processes.
  8. Provide Quality Inspections at different phases of production and sign off plant acceptance on behalf of the client.

Requirements:

  1. 7+ years' experience in the Rail and Transit industry.
  2. 5 years' experience in Rolling Stock Vehicle Manufacturing and Refurbishment.
  3. 3+ years' experience in Quality Control/Assurance.
  4. Thorough understanding of Rolling Stock Vehicles electrically and mechanically.
  5. Electrical/mechanical engineering background.
  6. Strong Quality mindset and ability to communicate effectively.
