As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality nutrition care and education to patients and their families, ensuring optimal health outcomes and patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans for patients with complex medical conditions, including those requiring specialized nutrition support.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive nutrition education and counseling to patients and their families.
- Conduct ongoing assessments and evaluations to ensure patients are receiving optimal nutrition care and make adjustments as needed.
- Participate in program planning, implementation, and evaluation to improve patient outcomes and quality of care.
- Supervise and mentor nutrition students and dietetic interns to ensure they receive high-quality training and education.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest nutrition research and best practices to provide evidence-based care.
- Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition or a related field and successful completion of an accredited dietetic internship program.
- Eligibility for registration with the College of Dietitians of Ontario.
- Recent clinical experience in an inpatient setting, preferably in a similar role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
