Our Program

Our nurses experience exciting assignments that provide adventure and opportunity to learn new skills all at the same time. With our program, you'll have the chance to consult with physicians and the Health Center Charge Nurse to work within an expanded scope of practice providing healthcare services and conducting general treatment in a specialist clinic atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consult with physicians and the Health Center Charge Nurse to work within an expanded scope of practice
  • Provide healthcare services and conduct general treatment in a specialist clinic atmosphere
  • Apply your experience utilizing the skills of observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, counseling, and health teaching according to the established care plan
  • Ensure that, on an ongoing basis, the emotional, spiritual, physical comfort and safety of clients are met to the greatest possible extent within the scope of practice

Qualifications

To be eligible for this position, you must:

  • Be a graduate from an accredited School of Nursing and have a nursing license through the provincial governing body in good standing
  • Have or be willing to obtain a nursing license through the British Columbia College of Nurse and Midwives (BCCNM) as required
  • Have at least 1500 hours (min. one year) of varied nursing experience within the last 1-2 years
