About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team at Extendicare (Canada) Inc. as a Nursing Care Specialist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as feeding, toileting, and transferring.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, including laundry and housekeeping duties.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • College diploma or certificate in a related field, such as personal support work or nursing.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate and First Aid Certificate.
  • Immunization records and vulnerable sector check.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting.
