We are seeking a skilled Handyman/Woman to join our team at Anew Centre for Healing Ltd. as a Maintenance and Repair Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on various equipment, fixtures, and systems, including heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Cleaning and Disinfecting: Clean and disinfect bathrooms, fixtures, and other areas as needed.
- Grounds Maintenance: Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
- Snow and Ice Removal: Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
- Equipment Operation: Operate industrial vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaning machines, power tools, and other equipment as required.
- Task Management: Prioritize and manage tasks to ensure timely completion and minimal disruption to operations.
- Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
- Certifications: First Aid Certificate.
- Skills: Excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, and dependability.
This is a physically demanding role that requires working in various locations, including residential and commercial settings. You will be required to work under pressure, handle heavy loads, and perform repetitive tasks.
