About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Peek N Play Child Care Centre Inc. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment that supports the growth and development of young children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Design and implement child-care programs that cater to the diverse needs of children, promoting their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Lead activities, tell stories, teach songs, and take children on outings to local points of interest, fostering a love for learning and exploration.
  • Child Development: Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors, ensuring the well-being and safety of all children.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers, working together to provide a comprehensive and supportive environment for children.
  • Environment and Safety: Plan and maintain a safe and healthy environment that protects the well-being of children, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Supervision and Coordination: Supervise and coordinate the activities of other early childhood educators and assistants, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of the child-care program.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a child-care setting.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
