Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate expertise in instrumentation, control systems, and automation; with experience in Rockwell ControlLogix and DeltaV platforms.
  • Possess substantial experience in heavy industries such as Oil & Gas, pulp and paper, and other industrial processes.
  • Exhibit proficiency in instrument design and engineering, along with control system architecture, including PLC, DCS, telecommunications, fiber optics, and marshalling.
  • Be skilled in developing instrument specifications, design documentation, and calculations, including SPI data sheets, loop diagrams, and P&ID development.
  • Have familiarity with a variety of instrument product lines, including control valves, actuated valves, transmitters, flow elements, and process analyzers.
  • Experience with DCS, SIS, BMS, Fire & Gas systems, QCS, PLC, machine drives, and advanced control systems is essential.
  • Proficient in using software tools such as MS Access, Excel, Visio, Project, Word, Outlook, AutoCAD, and instrument sizing software.
  • Capable of generating detailed instrument documentation and technical specifications for purchases.
  • Experienced in drafting scopes of work, construction packages, and conducting technical evaluations.
  • Participate in HAZOP studies, P&ID reviews, 3D model assessments, SIL development, and vendor drawing evaluations.
  • Provide construction support, supervision, estimating, and project leadership.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in instrumentation and controls.
  • Leadership experience in commissioning and pre-commissioning activities.
  • Extensive engineering experience in heavy industries (Oil & Gas, pulp and paper, or similar industrial processes).
  • Involvement in PLC and DCS programming and graphics development.
  • Participation in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
  • Act as a checker for drawings and documentation.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Ability to develop cable schedules and wiring details.
  • Design Control System Block Diagrams and Control System Architecture Drawings.
  • Experience in Control Panel and Junction Layouts design.
  • Field experience is highly valued.
