Control Systems Specialist

The System Integrator II is a key role in our team, responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems that meet the operational and regulatory needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement logic for assigned project tasks, ensuring timely and budget-friendly completion.
- Program and commission control systems, integrating multiple sub-systems to meet client requirements.
- Create technical documentation, including control logic, test procedures, and user manuals.
- Program PLCs and RTUs using platforms such as SEL RTAC, Ignition, and Kepware/Topserver.
- Supervise on-site commissioning and start-up, ensuring smooth system operation.
- Take ownership of personal quality, completing tasks and projects within allotted timeframes.
- Two-year technical degree or equivalent experience in Industrial Control Systems, Integration of Robotics Systems, or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in programming, with a focus on control systems and automation.
- Renewable energy industry exposure, particularly in wind, PV, and BESS.
- Working knowledge of communication protocols (DNP3, Modbus, etc.) and internet network architectures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, setting priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Proven experience with Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SQL, Access).
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel 25-35% of the time.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and possess a valid Canadian Driver's License.
