Position Summary

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a clean and sanitary environment for all areas within OSMH, adhering to established procedures and protocols.
  • Perform various cleaning tasks, including floor care, waste management, and surface disinfection.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with other Environmental Services staff to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks.
  • Adhere to infection control guidelines and safety protocols to protect patients, visitors, and staff.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of safe handling and storage practices for cleaning chemicals and solvents.
