About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at Sushi Mi. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including sushi and other Japanese cuisine
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Manage kitchen operations to ensure efficient and safe food preparation
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks
  • Flexibility, organization, and reliability
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
