About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Support Worker to join our team at Compassion Home Care Inc. As a Home Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to our clients in their own homes.

Responsibilities
  • Light Housekeeping and Cleaning Duties

You will be responsible for performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties, ensuring our clients' homes are clean and comfortable.

Companionship

You will provide companionship to our clients, engaging in activities and conversations to help them feel connected and valued.

Work Site Environment

You will work in a non-smoking environment, ensuring a healthy and safe space for our clients.

Work Setting

You will work in our clients' homes, providing care and support in a familiar and comfortable setting.

Certificates, Licences, Memberships, and Courses

You will be required to hold a Certificate of Conduct and a First Aid Certificate, ensuring you have the necessary skills and qualifications to provide high-quality care.

Security and Safety

You will undergo a criminal record check and provide references, ensuring our clients' safety and well-being.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

You will be required to perform a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, as well as repetitive tasks, ensuring you can meet the physical demands of the role.

Weight Handling

You will be required to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs), ensuring you can safely and effectively perform your duties.

Personal Suitability

You will possess excellent interpersonal skills, oral communication skills, and be punctual, reliable, and a team player.
