As the Senior Regional Manager of Financial Planning, you will provide team and sales leadership, drive business development, generate referrals, and offer ongoing mentorship to meet targets while fostering a dynamic results-oriented culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a large, diverse reporting function within an area of significant risk, complexity, or scope, while nurturing talent and developing skills to achieve team and career objectives.
  • Guide a high-performing team of Wealth Advice Specialists and Financial Planners focused on acquiring and retaining committed customer relationships and generating business for the mass affluent segment.
  • Offer mentorship, direction, and motivation on sound business practices and compliance requirements in a challenging yet collaborative environment to achieve strong results.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the leadership team regarding portfolio and financial management, leveraging deep industry and enterprise knowledge.
  • Engage in cross-functional and enterprise initiatives as a subject matter expert to identify and implement strategic operational efficiencies and opportunities.
  • Develop long-term strategic plans for your area and influence beyond your immediate responsibilities.
  • Actively manage relationships, processes, and regulatory requirements across business divisions.
  • Ensure all customer-facing activities enhance the client experience and strengthen the TD brand.
  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes aligned with risk appetite.
Qualifications:
  • Preferred university degree with over five (5) years of senior management experience and five (5) years of industry experience.
  • Must possess one of the following: Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Conduct & Practices Handbook (CPH), or Wealth Management Essentials (WME).
  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) is required.
  • Branch Managers course and CPH must be completed within 12 months of hire.
  • Successful completion of Wealth Management Essentials (WME) through the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI) is required.
  • Strong communication and team management skills to effectively exchange ideas and information with partners and team members.
