Fraser Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a New Graduate Nurse (RN/RPN) Program participant. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional nursing care to patients/clients, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients/clients, assessing their needs, identifying problems, and developing effective care plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to plan and evaluate patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
- Teach patients/clients and their families about health-related topics, providing education and support to promote healthy behaviors and self-management.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, contributing to the development of indicators, standards, and best practices to enhance patient care.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment, adhering to hospital standards and protocols related to infection control, fire safety, and emergency procedures.
- Graduation in current year from a recognized program in Nursing.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced environment.
