As a Software Build Coordinator, you will be instrumental in managing the build, release, and deployment processes of software products developed within a SAFE Scrum framework.
Your role will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, DevOps engineers, and product owners, to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software releases.
- Oversee and enhance the build process for software development projects adhering to the SAFE methodology.
- Configure and maintain build automation tools, such as GitLab CI/CD, to ensure efficient and reliable builds.
- Work alongside DevOps teams to refine deployment pipelines and infrastructure configurations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining and implementing build strategies, including continuous integration, daily/nightly builds, and release builds, aligned with releases and program increments.
- Ensuring the integrity and security of the build environment, including managing build artifacts, certificates, and access controls.
- Optimizing build performance and scalability to support the Agile development process, focusing on build speed, resource utilization, and parallel execution.
- Implementing and maintaining build metrics and dashboards to provide visibility into build health, quality, and performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in software build and release management roles, preferably within an Agile or SAFE Scrum environment.
- Strong proficiency in build automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD), version control systems (e.g., Git), and deployment automation technologies.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python) and build configuration languages.
- Understanding of software packaging, dependency management, and artifact repositories.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, Agile development environment.
Working conditions are generally comfortable, typical of an office environment. International travel may be required.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in Canada and obtain clearance under the Canadian Controlled Goods program (CGP).
