Job Summary

Brandt Tractor Ltd. is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team in Mont Laurier. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of construction and forestry-based equipment and attachments in a shop environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate the working condition of equipment, diagnose issues, and perform repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently, and operate related instruments, hand and power tools, and computer systems.
  • Accurately document all machine information, actions taken, and time taken on work orders.
  • Continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely and to accepted standards.
  • Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis, and locate parts using parts catalogues.
  • Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
Requirements:
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel.
  • Ability to meet physical demands, including heavy lifting, climbing, overhead lifting/postures, prolonged standing, sensory processing, and fine motor control.
  • Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment is preferred.
  • Certified Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade is preferred.
  • Commitment to customer service and service excellence.
