About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Engine Mechanic to join our team at CENTRE DU CAMION MONT-LAURIER 2009 INC. as a Heavy Truck Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and inspecting equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, diagnosing issues using computerized testing equipment, and performing repairs and maintenance work on heavy trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and Inspection: Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Equipment Repair and Maintenance: Perform repairs and maintenance work on heavy trucks, including adjusting equipment and replacing defective parts.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs, and provide detailed reports to management.
  • Quality Control: Test repaired equipment to ensure it meets manufacturers' specifications and is in good working condition.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure a safe working environment by following all health and safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, with a focus on manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Work Environment: 40 to 45 hours per week, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
