About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Heavy Truck Sales Representative to join our team at Davidson Contract Services. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our heavy equipment products to existing and potential clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Identify and solicit potential clients, promote sales to existing clients, and deliver sales presentations to drive business growth.
  • Sales and Marketing: Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates; oversee the preparation of sales and orders; and prepare sales or other contracts.
  • Customer Service: Consult with clients after sale to provide ongoing support, reach out to clients after sale or signed contracts to provide ongoing support, and provide customer service.
  • Product Knowledge: Have knowledge of highway trucking and associated rules and regulations, and be familiar with our product offerings, including trucks and trailers.
  • Technology and Tools: Utilize sales forecasting software, computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems, and other tools to manage sales and customer relationships.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in sales, preferably in the trucking industry.
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, efficient interpersonal skills, and a positive attitude.
