About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Support Worker to join our team at ParaMed Home Health Care. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting patients in their homes and community settings by assisting with activities of daily living.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including skin, hair, and oral care, bathing, toileting, and peri-care.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks, including special diets as determined by the care plan.
  • Provide basic housekeeping tasks and companionship to help patients enjoy a better quality of life.

Requirements:

  • Valid Personal Support Worker Certificate.
  • Ability to demonstrate compassion and care when interacting with patients.
  • Reliability and flexibility.
  • Passion for making a difference in your community.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle to travel to and from patient's residences within a geographical area.
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector Screen.

About ParaMed:

ParaMed is an enrolled employer in the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP) and an approved employer for the incentive funding of $10,000 to attract and retain Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to work in home and community care agencies. We are honored to partner with HealthForceOntario (HFO) to provide a $3/hour wage enhancement in addition to regular earnings and a $500 signing bonus.
