Respite Support Worker

**Job Summary**
The Respite Personal Support Worker is a vital role at Giishkaandago'Ikwe Health Services, where we provide temporary respite, personal care, and companionship to our clients. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for promoting independence, dignity, comfort, and wellness in a home care setting.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide temporary respite care to clients, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
- Assist with personal care activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Offer companionship and social support to clients, engaging them in activities and conversations.
- Work collaboratively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
**Requirements**
- Successful completion of a training program as a certified Personal Support Worker or Personal Care Attendant.
- Current registration as a Nursing Assistant or equivalent.
- Certification in Palliative Care for Frontline Workers, Learning Essential Approaches to Palliative Care (LEAP), or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license, clean driver's abstract, and insurability.
- Current updated immunization.
- First Aid and CPR qualifications.
- Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records check.
