Position Overview:

The Director of Sales for Emerging Business is tasked with spearheading the formulation and execution of pivotal business strategies, sales initiatives, and performance metrics aimed at achieving the organization's sales and revenue objectives. This role involves leading a team of Sales Representatives to consistently meet or surpass revenue goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop members of the sales team.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the business landscape, including profitability, pricing structures, service offerings, target markets, and sales channels.
  • Design and implement strategic sales growth initiatives to enhance existing revenue streams and explore new opportunities.
  • Establish and monitor sales performance metrics while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Achieve established KPIs related to activities, lead penetration, conversion rates, opportunity creation, advancement, and revenue generation.
  • Develop and introduce new KPIs to enhance revenue performance.
  • Collaborate with other organizational leaders to streamline processes, boost productivity, and address challenges effectively.
  • Inspire and motivate a high-performing sales team while building a strong talent pipeline.
  • Foster a dynamic and engaging work environment.
  • Oversee daily sales operations, including call activities, lead management, pipeline oversight, and account onboarding.
  • Provide accurate forecasts for revenue growth and attainment.
  • Manage departmental expenses and financial resources.
  • Identify and implement process enhancements.
  • Work in partnership with fellow sales leaders across the commercial sector.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Adhere to established company policies and procedures.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong communication skills for engaging with both direct and indirect reports.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and derive actionable insights.
  • Proficient in developing comprehensive sales strategies and plans.
  • Expertise in talent recruitment and development.
  • Strong motivational capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
  • Familiarity with telephony systems.
Work Experience – Minimum Requirements:

A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Education:

Required: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
