Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to formulate effective treatment strategies for clients.
  • Utilize various massage techniques, including soft tissue manipulation, relaxation methods, hydrotherapy, trigger point therapy, and joint mobilizations.
  • Apply targeted pressure to specific areas of the body to alleviate discomfort.
  • Conduct assessments through range of motion and muscle testing to develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Communicate procedures, potential risks, and benefits clearly to clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of treatments administered.
  • Perform massage and knead muscles and soft tissues to promote relaxation and recovery.
  • Provide clients with home care recommendations and educate them on relevant techniques.
Certifications and Licenses
  • Must hold certification from a recognized provincial or territorial association for massage therapists.
Safety and Security
  • Basic security clearance is required.
