About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Physiotherapist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Physiotherapist Resident, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in a tertiary care setting, working with a diverse range of patients and conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities.
  • Develop and implement holistic treatment programs using a range of techniques, including exercises, education, and manual, mechanical, electrical, and hydrotherapy.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and evidence-based research.
About You

We are looking for a candidate who possesses the following qualifications and skills:

  • Graduation from a Master's degree in Physiotherapy or acceptable equivalent from a recognized school of Physiotherapy.
  • Current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapy and eligibility for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
  • Current certification in CPR.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer competency with Microsoft office suite.
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred.
Hours and Compensation

This is a full-time (over-core) position with a 14-18 month long assignment. The successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate of $33.97. Additionally, successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
