Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project Engineer - Water Resources to join our dynamic team at Robinson Consultants Inc. in Ottawa or Hamilton office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in project engineering teams to define problems, establish project scopes, prepare budgets and schedules, and provide technical direction and oversight.
  • Perform technical engineering tasks efficiently and accurately with increasing levels of complexity.
  • Provide guidance and technical support to junior and intermediate staff.
  • Prepare detailed project reports and manage or assist in the preparation of technical proposals.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, subconsultants, and clients.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and current Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensure with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
  • 10+ years of progressive engineering design experience in water resources, including culvert design, surface drainage, low impact development measures, and natural watercourse restoration and rehabilitation design.
  • 5+ years of experience providing effective mentoring to less experienced engineers, technicians, or designers.
  • Superior client and interpersonal skills, combined with strong team and leadership abilities.
  • Highly proficient in water resources engineering principles and practices, including current processes, practices, and standards.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to balance diverse, changing, and conflicting priorities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (bilingualism considered a strong asset).
