Registered Veterinary Technician

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team at East Hants Animal Hospital. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our veterinarians in delivering high-quality medical services.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including surgery, anesthesia, and patient recovery
  • Conduct physical examinations, take vital signs, and collect medical histories
  • Prepare and administer medications, as well as perform laboratory tests and procedures
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans
  • Provide compassionate care and support to patients and their owners, including emotional support and education
  • Collaborate with other veterinary team members to ensure seamless patient care and efficient hospital operations
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a veterinary technician program and eligible to register with NSVMA/EVTA
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with veterinarians, support staff, and pet owners
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Passion for animal welfare and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care
