About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Catering Supervisor to join our team at Marcello's Market & Deli. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and catering services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring high-quality standards are met
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, minimizing waste and excess
  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
  • Prepare food order summaries for the chef, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
  • Establish work schedules to ensure efficient use of staff and resources
  • Motivate staff to achieve exceptional customer service and quality standards
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Permanent employment with a 37.5 hour workweek
  • Fluency in English as the primary language of communication
